The Memory Project, A MotherŐs Words is a 30
minute documentary
about HIV+ mothers in Uganda who write memory books
for
their children to prepare them for the future and
the possible
trauma that
may come. It is a look at how the
disease is
being fought in the family and in the community and
how
a group of
women have reminded the nation that though
they may be
stricken with the virus, they are still a
vital part of the society. Through these pages, the culture
can persist and the children will know that though
their
parents may
have passed, they were not abandoned
and that they were loved to the very end.
This project is in production and a clip will come
real
soon.
